What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a national initiative offering meaningful dental coverage for Canadian residents without private insurance and with an adjusted family net income under $90,000 per year especially benefiting families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Benefits of the CDCP at Sifton Bog Dental

1. Comprehensive Coverage

The CDCP at our clinic includes coverage for:

Preventive & Diagnostic Care: exams, cleanings, X‑rays, fluoride, and sealants
Restorative & Endodontic Treatment: fillings, root canals
Periodontal Care: deep cleanings, gum treatments
Prosthodontic Services: dentures, repairs
Oral Surgery: extractions, minor surgical procedures
Anesthesia/Sedation: from minimal to general for complex cases

2. Financial Relief

Coverage is income-based:

< $70,000: 100% of CDCP-approved fees
$70–79,999: 60% covered, 40% co-pay
$80–89,999: 40% covered, 60% co-pay
